The city around this time has a magical atmosphere and is a romantic getaway. Often the city is covered in a layer of snow and all around the city are Christmas markets. No city in winter is as beautiful as Prague!
Las Vegas is a well established holiday destination. It ’s extraordinary if you’ve never heard of the extravagant hotels and casinos of Vegas.
It is a city that you really must see if you make a trip through the American Southwest. Bath there in luxury hotels like Caesars Palace , The Bellagio or The Venetian , or keep it cheap and stay in one of the many motels.
Vegas is also the mecca for gamblers, shoppers and party animals among us. Each hotel has there own casino, shows and clubs. These clubs are often known for their A+ artists and DJ’s . Visit Vegas and be amazed!
Costa Rica offers more than just beautiful beaches and cool surf spots. You will find here also beautiful nature reserves, including Monte Verde National Park .
This is a real cloud forest , which means you walke through the clouds most of the time. This is because the nature reserve is situated at an altitude of 1,440 meters. A tour through the rainforest is very doable. The 24 kilometers of trails are well maintained. There is a great diversity of species in the Monteverde National Park. All in all this reserve is worth a visit !
Are these faces familiar to you? If yes, then you have heard of Rapa Nui before . These are the mysterious Moai statues on Easter Island , also known as Rapa Nui. The island is about as big as Texel (Dutch island) and it is one of the most isolated islands in the world , it is about 3,700 kilometers from the mainland of Chile. Easter Island was discovered in 1722 by the Dutch explorer Jacob Roggeveen . He also reported on large statues across the island.
To date , it is ( still ) are not completely known what the exact meaning of these images is . It is also a mystery as to how early the inhabitants of this island these images have been in place. Because they are made of volcanic stone and some are up to nine meters high!
Kyoto was the former capital of Japan. Despite it being no longer the real capital, it still is Japan’s cultural capital . Because the city in World War II was spared by the Allies, Kyoto still breathes the ancient Japanese culture.
The city lies in a mountain valley and in town you will find many old palaces , temples and pavilions. It is one of the few cities with such density of cultural attractions. The most famous highlights include Kinkaku- Ji ( Golden Pavilion Temple) , Kiyomizu -dera ( Clear Water Temple) and Nijō ( Japanese castle).

Western Australia is a popular surfing destination . This has its reasons. Because two oceans meet here, there are huge waves to be caught. A popular place is Margaret River. At this place in the Western Australia region is a huge coral reef causing large waves . This place is also called the ‘Main Break’ or ‘The Point’.
Only professional surfers come here , because the waves are treacherous around this point. Every year there’s a surf competition takes place here: the Margaret River Pro.

Despite the name Hell’s Gate is not very inviting , this is a peaceful national park and very impressive on at that. It’s a pretty rugged landscape ; the volcanic landscape is full of cracks. These cracks are interspersed with beautiful green plains, hills and mountains.
Also, it is the habitat of many types of animals. In this park you find lions, leopards and cheetahs. The park is located about 90 kilometers northwest of Nairobi, so it’s popular among tourists. It is also one of the few parks wher you can walk through nature on foot! A trip through this park is definitely a must if you go to Kenya !
